RJA Activities:

  • Rehearsals including, stage combat, scansion and line interpretation, character development, staging.
  • Bi-weekly classes taught by members of the Kingsmen Festival company including classes in:
    • Scansion of Shakespeare’s language
    • Stage Combat
    • Improvisation
    • Voice and Movement for Shakespearean acting
    • Advanced acting techniques
  • Participation in Festival Activities
  • Nightly performances of original work for kids and adults in “Will’s Corner”
  • Audition, rehearse and performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream
  • Support of Festival activities (ushering, stuffing programs, refreshment sales, fundraising)
  • Interaction with professional company members
  • COST OF THE PROGRAM - $300

(Some scholarship assistance is available)

The RJA classes/rehearsals begin June 19. Festival performance dates are weekends beginning June 29 through August 3. Audition time for A Midsummer Night's Dream TBA. Conflicts will be considered in casting the RJA company.
