Because we believe that each individual in our program should be afforded the greatest possible amount of individual attention, the Beginning and Advanced Workshops will be limited to 35 participants per two-week session. Camp Shakespeare workshops will be limited to 20 participants per session. Tuition fees are payable at the time of registration.
Camp Director
Kenneth Gardner
We are especially pleased to welcome back Kenneth Gardner as Camp Director. He previously served as camp director for fifteen years. Ken is a professor in the Theatre Arts Department of California Lutheran University where he has specialized in teaching acting, directing and creative dramatics for teachers. An honored director and playwright, he also has directed for the Kingsmen Apprentice Company and the Shakespeare Educational Tour (S.E.T.)
Camp Faculty
Barbara Wegher-Thompson
Barbara holds a BA and MA in Dance from UCLA with an emphasis in Performance and Choreography. She received her certification in Alexander Technique from the Alexander Foundation of Philadelphia in 1991. She currently teaches Stage Movement and Alexander Technique. The many musicals she has choreographed at CLU include Westside Story, Cabaret, Annie Get Your Gun, Kiss Me Kate, and Anything Goes. She directed numerous productions for the theatre department's touring children's theatre. Most recently she assisted with the movement and choreography for Pericles, Prince of Tyre.
Registration
Registration is currently available online with priority being given to early registrants. An early bird discount of 10% of the registration fee is available until April 16, 2010.
