Camp Shakespeare - Beginning

  • Ages 8-12
  • June 16-27
  • 8 a.m. - noon
  • Cost: $285

An introduction to acting in the theatrical world of William Shakespeare. Students will learn Elizabethan music, dance, and stage combat and will rehearse and perform scenes from some of the Bard’s most famous work on the KSC festival Stage.

Acting Techniques--Advanced

  • Ages 10-16
  • June 16 - June 27
  • 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Cost: $285

Students will explore advanced acting techniques, including improvisation, stage combat and scene study. A focus of the workshop is the rehearsal and performance of scenes from contemporary plays for an invited audience.

Camp Shakespeare – Advanced-Mornings

  • Cost: $600

This intensive four-week training/rehearsal workshop will provide advanced students with the opportunity not only to hone their acting skills, but to perform an abridged version of a Shakespearean play on the Kingsmen Festival stage.

Camp Shakespeare – Advanced-Afternoons

  • July 7- August 1
  • 1 p.m..- 5 p.m.
  • Cost: $600

This intensive four-week training/rehearsal workshop will provide advanced students with the opportunity not only to hone their acting skills, but to perform an abridged version of a Shakespearean play on the Kingsmen Festival stage.

Acting Techniques—Beginning
(Improvisation, Camera, Musical Theatre)

  • Ages 10-16
  • July 7-July 18
  • 8 a.m. - noon
  • Cost: $285

For students with little or no performance experience.

Students are introduced to the craft if acting through theatre games, improvisation, voice and movement, and acting for the camera. The workshop culminates in the development and performance of an original play and short video production.

Musical Theatre Workshop
  • Ages 11-16
  • July 21 - August 1
  • 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Cost: $285

This specialized camp will focus on all aspects of musical theatre including vocal technique, auditioning, and performance. The session will culminate in a review-style performance of selections from musical theatre classics.
