JOHN C. SLADE APPRENTICE/INTERN PROGRAM

The Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival Apprentice Company is an excellent opportunity for young actors and technicians to train with and gain valuable experience from working with professionals in an established Equity Acting Company.

Acting apprentices are recruited by audition from junior and senior acting students as well as graduate students from colleges, universities, conservatory programs from all over the country. Acting apprentices act in the two mainstage productions, understudy equity roles, teach in the Kingsmen theatre camps, and perform a pre-show greenshow. Acting apprentices may apply and be awarded points in the Equity Membership Candidacy program.

Technical Theatre Apprentices are recruited through a resume/interview process in the areas of costumes, scenic construction, props, painting, lighting, and sound.
